Heavy Plant Fitter

Location: Bicester (with travel to customer sites across the UK)
Salary: £45k – £55k (DOE) + Overtime + Allowances

About the Role:

Our clinet are the UK’s leading supplier of concrete equipment, is looking for a Senior HGV / Heavy Plant Engineer-Fitter to join our experienced engineering team based in Bicester. This is a senior, hands-on role ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical expertise who enjoys varied, technical work both in the workshop and on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair specialist concrete equipment (mixers, pumps, batching plants, volumetric mixers, silos, etc.)

*

Work on mechanical, hydraulic, 12/24V & 3-Phase electrical, and electronic systems (CANbus, PLCs)

*

Lead on complex jobs and support junior engineers as needed

*

Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of equipment pre-dispatch or post-repair

*

Provide technical support and professional service at customer sites across the UK

*

Contribute to ongoing improvements in service processes and workshop practices

Requirements:

*

Senior-level experience as an HGV or heavy plant engineer/fitter

*

Strong knowledge across mechanics, hydraulics, and electrics (12/24V and 3-Phase)

*

Diagnostic experience with electronic systems (CANbus, PLCs, etc.)

*

Able to work independently and represent the company professionally in the field

*

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

*

Full UK driving licence essential
