Site Engineer
Our client is a well-established marine civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation in delivering complex marine and coastal infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join their growing team, based out of their Ipswich office.
Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of marine works including sea defences, quay walls, jetty construction, and associated temporary works. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in a niche and highly technical sector of civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for a variety of marine-based civil engineering works
*
Ensuring technical compliance with drawings, specs, and client standards
*
Monitoring subcontractor activities and supporting site management
*
Maintaining site documentation including RAMS, as-builts, and ITPs
*
Liaising with project managers, foremen, and the wider engineering team
*
Assisting with temporary works and engineering solutions
*
Upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Requirements:
*
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline
*
5 years' experience as a Site Engineer in the UK working on civils projects (marine or coastal experience preferred)
*
Proficient in setting out using GPS/Total Station
*
Familiar with AutoCAD and reading technical drawings
*
CSCS card (essential), SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)
*
Full UK driving licence – regional travel to marine sites required
