MEICA Senior Project Engineer – Glasgow
Up to £70,000 DOE + Car / Allowance + Package + Bonus

First Task Professional are working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a long-term, secure framework in the nuclear sector.

They’re looking to appoint an experienced MEICA-biased Senior Project Engineer to join during the early design stages of a new-build, multi-discipline nuclear facility. The role involves close coordination with external stakeholders including design consultancies and the supply chain to ensure cost, time and quality objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

* Involvement in full project lifecycle from concept design through to handover, with a focus on construction and commissioning

* Able to influence engineering solutions from early design stages

* Contract and subcontract management experience, ideally with NEC forms of contract

* Comfortable managing complex data to assess risks and benefits and inform decisions

* Able to communicate technical issues in a clear, straightforward manner

* Experience reviewing new developments and recommending improvements

* Strong cross-functional leadership, particularly under pressure or unclear situations

* Confident in managing complex projects with effective planning and problem solving

* Skilled in gathering accurate information, understanding stakeholder needs, and building persuasive cases

* Capable of developing high-performing teams aligned with business goals

* Supportive leadership style with a focus on mentoring and collaboration
