Assistant Estimator  – Specialist Subcontractor (Commercial Interiors)
 Location: London Office (Office-based, Monday to Friday)
 Type: Permanent

Are you early in your commercial construction career and ready to step up within a fast-paced specialist subcontractor?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business operating in the commercial interiors and fit-out sector. They deliver specialist supply and install packages across commercial projects in sectors like education, workplace, retail, hospitality, and healthcare.

You’ll be supporting the commercial team with estimating and surveying tasks—gaining hands-on experience across both pre-construction and live projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assisting with take-offs and measurement from drawings using software (Bluebeam or similar)
Supporting the preparation of tenders and project costings
Sending out supplier and subcontractor enquiries and compiling quotes
Helping track variations and prepare monthly valuations
Assisting with commercial administration such as PQQs, CRM updates, and handover packs
Working closely with Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Managers

What We’re Looking For:

6–18 months’ experience in a similar role (internships or placements also considered)
Exposure to construction subcontracting – ideally drylining, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, or similar
Strong Excel skills and basic understanding of drawings and specifications
Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
Well-organised and good communicator
