Site Manager
My client are established fire protection specialist operating throughout London and Home Counties. They are current looking to onboard a Site Manager to oversee the delivery of passive fire protection (PFP) works on a social housing refurbishment project in North London. The successful candidate will have responsibility for:

Installing passive fire protection systems—such as fire stopping, fire doors, fire-resistant compartmentation, and smoke/fire damper installations—to uphold fire-resistance ratings and ensure compartment integrity in line with relevant UK and European standards.

Working within live social housing environments, liaising with tenants and housing teams to minimise disruption and maintain tenant satisfaction throughout the refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage daily site operations including on-site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, to deliver passive fire protection installations according to schedule and quality standards.
*
Conduct pre- and post-installation inspections to verify compliance with specifications and compartmentation requirements.
*
Lead site meetings and toolbox talks, ensure RAMS are implemented, and maintain strict compliance with CDM, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
*
Maintain accurate site documentation—daily logs, quality reports, testing records, and handover documentation—and attend regular progress meetings with the client.
*
Liaise with stakeholders including tenants, client representatives, and housing officers to coordinate access, working hours, and ensure minimal disruption.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
*
Demonstrated experience in installing passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and damper installations on refurbishment projects.
*
SMSTS certification, valid CSCS card, Asbestos Awareness training, First Aid certification.
*
Fire-related accreditation (FIRAS, FDIS, BM Trada, NVQ in passive fire protection, etc.) is desirable.
*
Full UK driving licence (required, due to site mobility and company vehicle use).

Prior experience with social housing refurbishments and an understanding of tenant liaison and access requirements.

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate site teams and manage subcontractor performance.

IT literate with confidence in managing site documentation and reporting progress.

Proactive problem solver, able to anticipate and resolve programme or quality challenges in a timely manner.
Compensation & Benefits
*
Annual salary: £45,000 – £55,000, dependent on experience and specific PFP qualifications.
