Assistant Site Manager – Internals & Finishes
📍 Location: Hackney, London
📅 Contract: 10-month fixed term
💷 Rate: Approx. £220/day (Umbrella or CIS)

Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a strong background in internal works and finishes? We’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and the drive to deliver high-quality work on a new-build residential scheme in Hackney.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a reputable Main Contractor on a multi-storey block of flats, supporting the Site Manager with the delivery of all internal elements—from SFS through to final handover. You’ll be key in maintaining site standards, ensuring health & safety compliance, and delivering to programme.

Key Duties:

Assist in coordinating internal trades (drylining, M&E fit-out, joinery, flooring, decoration, etc.).

*

Monitor material availability and on-site logistics.

*

Work closely with subcontractors and labour teams to meet programme targets.

*

Carry out quality checks, snagging, and assist with handover preparation.

*

Maintain daily site records, RFI logs, and assist with document control.

*

Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or equivalent) on new-build residential projects—especially internal finishes
✅ Strong knowledge of interiors sequencing and finishing trades
✅ Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills
✅ Keen eye for quality and health & safety

Required Certifications:

*

CSCS card (Skilled Worker or Manager)

*

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

*

First Aid at Work (valid)

Desirable Experience:

*

Worked with Tier 1 or leading regional Main Contractors

*

Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings/specs

*

Able to update internal programmes and contribute to site reporting
