Location: Leeds (office-based, with site visits across the central region)

A permanent opportunity has come up for a capable Quantity Surveyor to join the General Civils team of a respected civil engineering contractor based in Leeds. This is a hands-on role covering the full commercial lifecycle — from tender stage through to final account — across a variety of civils and infrastructure projects.

The business has a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, and is delivering across key sectors including highways, enabling works, renewables, and drainage.

Role:

Support and lead on take-offs, valuations, change control, and claims

*

Work under NEC and JCT forms of contract (pre- and post-contract)

*

Prepare and contribute to tender submissions and commercial strategy

*

Engage with supply chain, clients, and internal teams

*

Ensure accurate reporting and cost control across multiple projects

Projects include:

*

Car parks and enabling works

*

S278 road widening and roundabout builds

*

Retaining walls and drainage diversions

*

Solar, BESS and wind energy schemes

Requirements:

*

Experience delivering civil engineering/infrastructure projects

*

Fluent in NEC and JCT contracts

*

Comfortable producing tender packs and managing commercial input from day one

*

Strong attention to detail and confident with reporting

*

Self-motivated and collaborative with good communication skills
