* This company is a highly regarded and respected multi disciplined specialist civils contractor. They have this current requirement within their Demolition division. They have a group turnover of £140m and work on schemes up to £30m

The Role

This client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Health & Safety Advisor with proven experience in the demolition industry to join our team on a range of high-risk, technically complex projects in Central London. You will play a key role in promoting a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all demolition, soft strip, and structural alteration works are carried out safely, in compliance with regulations and best practices.

* Monitor site health, safety, and environmental compliance across multiple demolition sites.

* Conduct regular inspections, audits, and site walkarounds, reporting on findings and ensuring actions are closed out.

* Prepare site-specific risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans.

* Provide toolbox talks, inductions, and ongoing training to operatives and site teams.

* Advise on the safe planning and execution of demolition, soft strip, and temporary works.

* Support incident investigations and implement corrective/preventative actions.

* Maintain accurate records in line with ISO/OHSAS or internal management systems.

* Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management to drive a strong safety culture.

* Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, relevant HSE regulations, and best practice guidelines.

* Liaise with external bodies (e.g. HSE, local authorities) as needed.

The Requirements:

* Health & Safety degree or NEBOSH Construction/General Certificate

* CCDO-qualified (Supervisor or above preferred) or equivalent demolition safety training.

* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Advisor in the demolition or enabling works sector.

* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations, LOLER, PUWER, and HSE Guidance (e.g., HSG168, BS6187).

* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage operatives and managers alike.

* IT literate with ability to write reports and maintain digital safety documentation.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-risk environment in central urban locations.
