An industry-leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major long-term framework based in Peterborough.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of commercial performance on high-value infrastructure projects, working within a supportive, collaborative team. You’ll play a critical role in contract management, cost reporting, and subcontractor procurement—while mentoring junior staff and shaping commercial strategy.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly cost/value reporting and forecasting

*

Manage CVRs, accruals, and commercial risk

*

Handle contract administration, variations, and claims

*

Oversee procurement and financial management of subcontractors

*

Ensure compliance with NEC contract frameworks (NEC3/NEC4)

*

Support and develop junior commercial staff

*

Collaborate closely with project delivery and operational teams

✅ What You'll Need

*

Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)

*

Strong background in civil engineering, ideally water/utilities

*

Experience with NEC contracts and construction law

*

Proven ability to manage high-value commercial packages

*

Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

*

Leadership qualities with a hands-on, proactive approach
