Our client, an established main contractor based in South Yorkshire, is seeking to appoint a skilled Estimator to join their team.

With a turnover of c£25m, they specialise in delivering new build and refurbishment projects up to £10m across diverse sectors including commercial, education, and healthcare.

As a key member of the estimating department, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, assessing project costs, and supporting the overall pre-construction process.

This role requires a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the company continues its growth trajectory and maintains its strong market presence.

The ideal candidate will have;

Proven experience working within a main contracting environment in an Estimating role

Strong knowledge of construction costs, pricing strategies, and procurement processes

Ability to interpret and analyse technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite

Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and strong organisational skills

Experience managing multiple tenders simultaneously to meet deadlines
