Are you a Project Manager from a PM consultancy background looking to step into direct client-side role?

We’re recruiting on behalf of the City of London Corporation for a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of commercial office developments, high-value refurbishments, and fit-out schemes across the City’s central London estate.

This is a rare opportunity to transition client-side and deliver modern, sustainable, and complex capital projects in one of the world’s most prestigious commercial and civic districts — the Square Mile.

🔧 The Role

As Construction Project Manager, you’ll oversee projects from concept through to completion, including:

* Leading delivery of commercial office new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs

* Managing procurement, design development, and contract administration (JCT)

* Coordinating and directing external consultants and contractors

* Ensuring quality, safety, programme, and budget targets are achieved

* Working across a varied portfolio: listed buildings, civic spaces, and contemporary developments

* Collaborating with a supportive in-house team of Project Managers and Assistants

🎯 What We’re Looking For

* Degree in a construction-related discipline (e.g. Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying)

* Strong Project Management Consultancy background with proven expertise in leading commercial office projects (new build, refurbishment, and fit-outs)

* Proven experience delivering commercial office projects (new build and/or refurbishment) directly for an estates team or a PM Consultancy

* Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration

* Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills

* Commercially astute, with experience managing significant project budgets

* Experience managing construction projects from start to finish .
