Join a Growing Pre-Construction Team at a Leading Specialist Contractor

We are working with a well-established contractor specialising in landscaping, earthworks, sports fields, and public realm projects, who have recently secured a significant pipeline of work through partnership with a highly reputable Tier 1 contractor.

As a result of this exciting growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their pre-construction team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute individual looking to play a key role in securing and shaping high-profile external works projects across the UK.

Role Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for estimating tender submissions on a range of landscaping and groundworks projects

Interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices

Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings when required

Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and the wider pre-construction team

Provide value engineering input and cost advice throughout the bid process

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator within landscaping, earthworks, sports fields, or public realm works

Strong knowledge of civil engineering and external works packages

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Familiarity with estimating software and proficient in Excel

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
