We are recruiting on behalf of our reputable client, for an experienced Technical Manager to lead their regional Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineering (GQE) team. This critical role involves managing projects, technical teams, and client relationships within the contractor’s operational region.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the regional GQE team, driving performance and professional growth.

*

Provide technical and managerial support to Resident Engineers, ensuring clarity of roles and project objectives.

*

Manage a client portfolio, including ground improvement and remediation contracts.

*

Oversee all geotechnical and geoenvironmental technical aspects of contractor-led projects.

*

Collaborate closely with Contracts and Site Managers to ensure project delivery meets timelines and budgets.

*

Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management.

*

Maintain strong relationships with clients and regulators, managing approvals and compliance.

*

Support tender preparation and cost estimation for remediation projects.

*

Manage project activities including design, reporting, and validation of remediation works.

*

Review and interpret technical reports to develop effective, cost-efficient remediation strategies.

*

Control validation budgets and monitor project timelines.

*

Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Candidate Profile:

*

Chartered Technical Manager with professional qualifications.

*

Proven experience managing large-scale earthworks and ground engineering projects.

*

Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related field.

*

Hands-on experience in the design and construction of retaining walls.

*

Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.

*

Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
