Health and Safety Manager – Energy from Waste
Astute's Power team is partnering with a large-scale European Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Health and Safety Manager on a 12-month contract for its Scotland site.
The Health and Safety Manager role comes with competitive rate per day.
Key skills:
Lead the implementation of the HSE management system on site during the M&E installation phase and commissioning.
Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and partners to promote a strong safety culture aligned with EPC and client expectations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and project-specific requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and reviews; monitor safe systems of work including permits to work, RAMS, and LOTO procedures.
Manage incident reporting, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions and lessons learned.
Support the planning and delivery of toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions for site personnel.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical and electrical systems.
Maintain HSE documentation and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, client representatives, and senior management.
Drive continual improvement initiatives across health, safety, and environmental performance.
