A thriving Midlands-based consultancy with a strong regional presence is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its Birmingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys leading large-scale private and public sector developments, from complex residential schemes to high-profile industrial and commercial projects.

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of project delivery across the West Midlands, guiding clients through the entire lifecycle of each scheme. The successful Senior Project Manager will be expected to lead project teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive projects to successful completion. This consultancy places a strong emphasis on team collaboration and offers a clear path for Senior Project Managers seeking to progress into Associate-level roles.

The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from feasibility through to handover, including managing procurement processes, contract administration (JCT/NEC), and financial oversight. You'll provide strategic input on key schemes valued between £1m and £30m, working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.

The Senior Project Manager

Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline

At least 5 years' experience in a consultancy or client-side setting, with a proven track record as a Senior Project Manager

Chartered status (or working towards) via RICS, APM or CIOB

In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC contract forms

Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
