Chartered Building Surveyor
A well-established and specialist building surveying consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor to join their close-knit team.
With over 20 years in the market, this practice focuses exclusively on the industrial property sector, working with landlords, property managers, and investment firms. Known for their informal, supportive working environment and strong client relationships, they are now seeking a new team member to take on a varied, autonomous role.
The Opportunity
You will manage a broad range of instructions and deliver surveying services across the full project lifecycle, with a particular focus on dilapidations and contract administration. The role is based from the Solihull head office and covers projects across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out condition surveys and preparing dilapidations reports
Negotiating dilapidations claims on behalf of landlords
Managing refurbishment projects from inception to completion
Delivering contract administration services (JCT)
Attending site inspections, client meetings, and reporting progress
Supporting and mentoring junior and apprentice surveyors
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships Essential Requirements:
MRICS-qualified (minimum 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience preferred)
Must have experience in a consultancy environment
Proven experience delivering dilapidations services
Comfortable managing projects independently and engaging directly with clients
Strong report writing, negotiation, and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands What’s on Offer:
