A top-tier engineering contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex, high-value building services projects across the UK and Europe is looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Manager for a major project in Central London.
Known for delivering technically demanding M&E packages in live environments, this contractor offers a stable pipeline of major schemes across the data centre, commercial, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.
This permanent role offers a chance to lead full MEP commissioning from pre-construction through to client handover on one of the most high-profile developments in the city.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all commissioning phases – from early-stage planning to system sign-off and client demonstration
* Develop and maintain detailed commissioning schedules and activity trackers
* Oversee supply chain coordination for commissioning activities and ensure system readiness
* Supervise commissioning engineers and specialists across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
* Liaise with the design, QA/QC, and construction teams to ensure performance verification and compliance
* Manage documentation requirements including test packs, O&M manuals, and compliance records
* Carry out inspections, attend witness testing, and ensure smooth system integration and sign-off
* Maintain client communication and support handover to aftercare/maintenance teams
* Ensure all commissioning work aligns with the latest regulatory and industry standards (CIBSE, CSA, BSRIA)
What You’ll Need:
* Previous experience in a Commissioning Manager or Commissioning Lead role on major MEP projects
* Strong background in managing commissioning in live environments (data centres, commercial towers, etc.)
* Industry memberships (CSA, CIBSE, BSRIA) desirable
* Excellent technical knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems
* Confident managing schedules, documentation, subcontractors, and client interface
* Proficiency with commissioning tools and documentation platforms (Viewpoint a plus)
* Natural leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills
