Facilities Maintenance Technician

A reputable and well-established company based in Basildon is seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Operative to support the ongoing upkeep, compliance, and day-to-day maintenance of its premises. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced in general building maintenance who takes pride in creating a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine preventive maintenance and general repairs across multiple premises

* Maintain cleanliness and safety in outdoor and perimeter areas

* Support with internal cleaning and hygiene-related duties

* Coordinate and oversee subcontractors performing on-site maintenance tasks

* Assist in maintaining compliance with Health & Safety and operational standards

* Keep accurate records and perform basic IT-based reporting related to maintenance activities

Essential:

* Prior experience in a Facilities or Building Maintenance role

* Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and general repair tasks

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Comfortable with manual handling, working at height, and in confined spaces

* Basic IT literacy for documentation and reporting

Package & Benefits:

* Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (33 days total)

Working Hours:

* Monday – Friday

* 8:00am – 5:00pm
