A well-established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major infrastructure and highways scheme based in Leiston, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable and driven individual to oversee the safe and successful delivery of a complex civil engineering project from start to finish.

🔍 The Role:

You will take full ownership of the project, leading the site team and managing all aspects of delivery – from programming and planning to health & safety, commercial performance, and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day management of a large-scale infrastructure/road project

*

Manage site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery

*

Maintain programme, cost, and quality targets

*

Chair progress meetings and liaise with the client and stakeholders

*

Drive health, safety, and environmental compliance across the site

*

Work closely with commercial and planning teams to manage risks and opportunities

✅ Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering

*

Background in delivering highways, infrastructure, or heavy civils projects

*

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

*

Experience working under NEC contracts (preferred)

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications

*

Must be located within 1 – 1.25 hours of Leiston, Suffolk

*

Full UK driving licence
