Construction Site Manager (Working Foreman – Carpentry Background)

Office and site based- permanent

An experienced Construction Site Manager is required to lead internal refurbishment projects, ideally suited to a hands-on working foreman with strong carpentry skills. This role combines site management duties with practical trade work, demanding both leadership and technical expertise.

The ideal candidate will be well-organised, self-sufficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and project delivery.

Construction Site Manager Remuneration

* £250 per day

Construction Site Manager Duties

* Manage day-to-day site operations on refurbishment projects

* Carry out carpentry and general trade tasks as required

* Supervise subcontractors and trades on-site

* Enforce health and safety standards and site protocols

* Coordinate with clients, project managers, and suppliers

* Keep thorough site documentation, including H&S and progress reports

* Maintain quality control and ensure timely project delivery

* Organise tools, materials, and labour effectively

* Provide regular updates on project progress and any site issues

Construction Site Manager requirements

* Demonstrated experience as a Site Manager or Working Foreman on refurbishment/fit-out projects

* Proficient carpentry skills and willingness to work on-site

* SMSTS or SSSTS certification

* CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred)

* First Aid at Work certificate

* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

* Flexibility to travel, stay away, and work weekends when necessary

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Desirable:

* PASMA or IPAF certification

* Own tools
