CONTRACTS MANAGER/ESTIMATOR

This specialist in marine civil contracting has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager/Estimator to join their busy team at their Burton On Trent Head Office.

Reporting to the Contracts Director the role offers a competitive salary of up to £50K + extensive benefits. The scope of work is throughout the UK so a Company vehicle will be provided for the successful candidate.

Working hours are Mon-Fri 8-5 (40hr week).

Job Description

The Contracts Manager/Estimator will have a positive attitude, be a team player and have previous experience in mainstream civil engineering.

Marine project experience would be desirable but not essential.

This is a new role due to expanding workload, so the Commercial Manager will also be proactive on the sales front, keeping abreast of new enquires as well as building and maintaining good working relationships, follow up on all enquiries, carry out site visits and subsequently preparing quotes/estimates for the works required.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required

* Proficient on Microsoft Operating Systems

* Estimating experience.

* Marine project experience desirable.

* Good communication skills.

* Flexibility.

* Confident, keen, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.

* Team player.

* Full clean UK driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Innovative, pro-active, self-motivated, the ability to work individually or as part of a team and have methodical approach to tasks.
