Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Due to increasing workload following a successful year, we are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction team.

Our client is a nationwide construction contractor specialising in commercial and residential projects across the UK, with project values typically ranging from £500k to £12m.

The successful candidate will manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, working closely with project teams to ensure commercial success and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

* Project cost management and financial control

* Monthly financial reporting and forecasting

* Contract administration and compliance

* Supplier and subcontractor negotiations

* Change order management and variations

* Final account preparations and settlements

* Client liaison and progress meetings

* Risk assessment and mitigation

Essential Requirements

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying

* Minimum 5 years' experience in main contractor commercial management

* Strong knowledge of standard construction contracts (JCT/NEC)

* Experience working for a main contractor on construction projects

* Proficiency in construction software and Excel

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Full UK driving licence
