Electrical Project Engineer – Power & Renewables – Glasgow
Salary:£60,000 – £65,000 plus Car + Bonus

Key Responsibilities
• Update/amend working drawings and produce HV/LV electrical designs
• Liaise with design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders on technical/commercial matters
• Develop installed drawings, O&M manuals, method statements, and risk assessments
• Raise requisitions, create purchase orders, track deliveries
• Manage RFIs, document control, and technical meetings
• Supervise and assess subcontractor works
• Perform QC inspections, snagging, and prepare test packs
• Create project schedules, material take-offs, and tender documentation
• Use AutoCAD and MS Project to produce tender, construction, and as-built drawings/programmes
• Design electrical systems (fire alarm, nurse call, intruder, access control, emergency lighting)
• Conduct lighting, cable sizing, and containment calculations
• Coordinate first-fix and second-fix electrical services
• Prepare variation documentation and assist in commissioning
• Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and building/electrical regulations
Requirements
• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years’ industrial electrical design/project management experience
• In-depth HV/MV network knowledge, energy management systems, and automated control integration
• Proven track record in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Leadership/mentoring experience with junior engineers
• Commitment to EHS and quality systems
