A leading UK construction contractor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team, delivering complex and high-profile schemes in the Cambridge region, typically valued at £20m+. The Role
You’ll be working on significant projects from pre-construction through to final accounts, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and value optimisation. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you will bring a strong commercial edge to project delivery while maintaining high standards of compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities

Managing all aspects of the commercial function on large-scale projects (£20m+)

Leading on procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration

*

Preparing cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts

*

Advising on risk management and mitigation strategies

*

Mentoring and developing junior commercial staff

About You

*

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

*

Proven track record in delivering high-value construction projects

*

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

*

Solid understanding of NEC contracts

*

Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
