SHE Advisor – Greater London / South
Salary: £42,000 + £5,000 car allowance + benefits
Base Office: Ruislip or Farringdon with travel around the M25 region
We’re working with a leading construction and infrastructure services provider to recruit a SHE Advisor to support their Southern Operations team. This role is a replacement hire, joining a well-established SHE department and reporting directly to the Head of SHE.
You’ll play a key role in providing day-to-day health, safety and environmental support across a portfolio of rail, civil engineering and construction projects. The position is mobile, so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and your own car.
What you’ll be doing

Provide SHE advice and support to regional leadership, operations managers and project teams.

Build strong, collaborative relationships with client worksites to encourage openness and cooperation.
*
Carry out site inspections and engagement tours, reporting findings and recommending improvements.
*
Support the investigation of incidents, identifying lessons learned and preventive measures.
*
Attend and contribute to client and internal SHE meetings, workshops, and events.
*
Assist with internal SHE audits and compliance monitoring (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
*
Promote occupational health, welfare, mental health, and carbon reduction initiatives.
*
Support the development and delivery of SHE-related training.
*
Contribute to monthly SHE performance dashboards and risk assessments.
What we’re looking for
*
Knowledge of the rail, civil or construction industries.
*
IOSH Managing Safely (essential) – NEBOSH or equivalent would be an advantage.
*
At least 1-2 year’s demonstrable experience in a SHE role within rail or construction.
*
Experience in risk assessments, accident/incident investigation, and environmental matters.
*
CSCS card (PTS advantageous).
*
A collaborative, client-focused approach and commitment to embedding a strong safety culture.
