Principal Property Surveyor – Cambridge
Salary: £45,718 – £50,788 per annum (plus benefits)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)
We're looking for an experienced and commercially-minded qualified surveyor to take the lead in managing a diverse and high-profile commercial property portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of assets – from shops and offices to industrial and investment properties – ensuring they are well-managed, high-performing, and aligned with organisational goals.
The Role
As Principal Property Surveyor, you will:
Manage the day-to-day operations of a varied commercial portfolio.
Lead on lease negotiations, rent reviews, renewals, and restructures.
Drive asset performance and maximise income potential.
Support acquisitions, disposals, and valuations.
Line-manage and mentor junior surveyors.
Play a key role in shaping long-term asset management strategies.
What We're Looking For
MRICS-qualified with proven experience managing commercial property portfolios.
Strong expertise in landlord & tenant matters, valuation, and asset planning.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex advice clearly.
A track record of managing people, budgets, and workloads effectively.
Commercial acumen balanced with strong public service values.
A full driving licence or the ability to travel to sites as needed.
