Design Manager – PBSA Scheme (Central London)

Salary: £90,000 – £105,000 + Package
Location: Central London

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and manage a prominent PBSA (Purpose-Built Student Accommodation) project in the heart of Central London. Reporting directly into the Design Director, you will play a key role in driving design efficiency across Stages 2-4, working closely with both internal teams and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership: Manage the design process for a large-scale PBSA project, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal stakeholders, contractors, and external consultants.

Driving Efficiency: Work with both internal and external teams to optimize design delivery, reducing inefficiencies and maintaining high standards throughout Stages 2-4.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, ensuring design briefs are understood, and expectations are met, while staying within budget and timeline constraints.

Team Collaboration: Provide leadership and guidance to design teams, both internally and externally, fostering a collaborative and solution-driven approach.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of design and construction processes to meet project goals, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.

Key Requirements:

Experience: Ideally, you will have a background working on the contractor side of large-scale PBSA or hotel projects.

*

Stage Expertise: Proven experience managing design delivery across Stages 2-4 in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Team Leadership: Strong ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate both internal and external teams.

Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of design processes and best practices within the construction industry, particularly for large-scale residential or hospitality schemes.

Location: Must be based in or around Central London or willing to commute to the site as required.
