About the Role – Estimator

The company is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to enhance the estimating capability within its UK fit-out and refurbishment delivery team. Reporting into the pre-construction and commercial functions, the Estimator will support cost planning and tendering across a diverse portfolio—from smaller schemes to high-value projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting quantity take-offs and preparing accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment

*

Analysing technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities

*

Developing comprehensive cost plans and assisting with tender strategy and submission

*

Collaborating closely with commercial managers, project teams, and subcontractors

*

Sourcing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations while maintaining cost databases

*

Identifying and incorporating project risks, contingencies, and value-engineering opportunities

*

Supporting pre-construction teams with cost reporting and budget tracking

Requirements

*

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an Estimator within commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or construction

*

Strong knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and estimating software/tools

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings, contracts, and bills of quantities

*

Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills

*

A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners

*

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced pre-construction environment
