Site Engineer

Site Engineer – Refurbishment Project – Sheffield
Location: Sheffield
Duration: 34 Weeks
Day Rate: £300
Start Date: 14/09/2025

Footprint Recruitment is working in partnership with a key client to recruit a Site Engineer for a refurbishment project located in Sheffield. This is a 34-week contract, and ideally, we are seeking candidates based locally or within a commutable distance.

Requirements:

* Previous experience on refurbishment or structural alteration projects

* Strong setting out and surveying skills

* Proficient with instruments (e.g. Total Station, AutoCAD)

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and ensure works are carried out accurately

* Strong understanding of site safety and quality standards

* Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Degree)

* CSCS card (essential)

* SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities:

* Setting out for structural and groundworks including:

* Steel columns and beams

* Foundations

* Drainage works

* Concrete slabs and upper floor concreting

* Coordinating with the Site Manager and subcontractors

* Monitoring and reporting on quality assurance and compliance

* Maintaining site records and drawings

* Assisting in the management of design information and technical queries
