Senior Building Surveyor
Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary property consultancy with a strong presence across London and the South East. This role will see you delivering a wide range of building surveying services across London, the Home Counties, and Oxfordshire. The work is varied, with a strong emphasis on residential schemes, alongside commercial, education, and leisure projects. You will play a key role in client delivery, technical advice, and project oversight, while working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
Senior Building Surveyor – Salary & Benefits
Salary £50,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)
23 days holiday (rising to 25 days for Chartered staff)

Hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office per week)
Senior Building Surveyor – Job Overview
Undertaking building condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and feasibility studies.
Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and contract documentation.
Overseeing tendering, contract administration, and project management duties.
Advising clients on statutory compliance, including planning, building regulations, and health & safety.
Supporting junior team members, including APC candidates, with training and mentoring.
Maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring successful delivery across projects.
Senior Building Surveyor – Job Requirements
Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
MRICS qualification preferred; candidates close to final APC assessment will also be considered.
5+ years' experience within building surveying (consultancy/private practice desirable).
Proven track record delivering both professional services and project-led work.
Strong technical knowledge and up-to-date understanding of building regulations.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within London, the South East, and Home Counties.
