Freelance Site Engineer – Civil Engineering (12-Month Contract)
Location: Derbyshire
Duration: 12 months (potential for extension)

We are seeking a Freelance Site Engineer to join a prestigious civil engineering contractor, working on a flagship bridge and infrastructure scheme in Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile project with the potential for ongoing work across the region.

The Role:

*

Setting out for bridges, highways, drainage, and associated civil engineering works.

*

Managing site activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

*

Reviewing technical drawings, resolving engineering queries, and liaising with project managers.

*

Maintaining accurate records of site activities and surveys.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering projects (bridges, highways, or infrastructure preferred).

*

Strong setting out and surveying skills (GPS/Total Station).

*

Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and site health & safety.

*

Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

*

CSCS card essential; SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
