Senior Hire Controller
A growing engineering solutions business is looking for a Senior Hire Controller to lead their team. This is a newly created leadership role where you’ll oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects — from order confirmation to installation — ensuring everything is completed right, on time and to the highest standard.
You’ll manage a small but skilled team, working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Installation teams to deliver environmental equipment and service contracts on budget, within scope, and to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team responsible for delivering customer orders and service contracts.
*
Oversee the full project lifecycle — scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
*
Coordinate procurement, deliveries, site attendances, and resource allocation.
*
Manage risks, resolve issues, and recover costs from variations or damages.
*
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders at every stage of delivery.
*
Promote repeat business through excellent customer service and aftersales support.
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven experience in operations, project delivery, logistics, or fulfilment management (ideally in engineering, water treatment, pump hire, or environmental services).
*
Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional projects.
*
Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
*
Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and a problem-solving mindset.
*
Comfortable in a fast-paced SME environment where no two days are the same.
*
UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK.
