The Chartered Building Surveyor's Role

The successful Building Surveyor will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of both regional and national projects, working closely with clients across a varied workload. You will undertake technical surveys, prepare specifications and design documentation, and act as contract administrator on a range of projects. Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders will be key, with a balance between independent responsibility and team support.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering condition and measured surveys, building pathology reports, fire risk assessments, access audits, and dilapidations advice

Preparing tender documentation, specifications, and AutoCAD drawings

Acting as contract administrator for minor works projects

Supporting the regional business development plan and contributing to national projects

Producing detailed technical reports and maintaining high-quality standards in line with RICS guidance

The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor Will Have

Qualifications:

Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent)

Knowledge and Attributes:

Proven experience in building surveying

Strong report writing and technical ability

IT literate, including AutoCAD

A clean driving licence

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Desirable:

Security clearance (OS)

Track record of improving revenues and financial performance

£80,000 – £85,000
