Ridgeway & Co are working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor in their search for an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on a major mixed-use development in Cambridge. This is a permanent position, working on a flagship scheme valued at over £150m, offering the chance to contribute to one of the region’s most prestigious projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery

*

Supervise subcontractors, trades, and labour to maintain programme and standards

*

Oversee site logistics, health and safety compliance, and quality control

*

Report progress, risks, and issues to the Project Manager and senior team

*

Lead site meetings with subcontractors and contribute to client progress updates

*

Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and company procedures

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager with a Tier 1 main contractor

*

Demonstrated success managing medium to large-scale projects, ideally £100m+

*

Strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety, and site management best practice

*

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills

*

Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications
