We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Derby (DE13). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working directly with the Commercial Director, supporting large-scale infrastructure projects while independently managing smaller ones from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting in the commercial management of major retaining wall and gabion projects
Taking ownership of smaller projects, managing the full project lifecycle
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
Monitoring project progress, variations, and valuations
Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
Ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures
Learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environmentWhat We're Looking For:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work on-site full-time in Derby
Interest in civil engineering and structural landscaping is a plus
