Repairs and Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Repairs and Maintenance Manager to lead our dedicated team of technical staff, ensuring our housing stock is safe, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.
Location: Rotherham Council (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Contract length: 2 months+
Hours: 37 per week
Start date: ASAP
In this key leadership role, you will oversee a wide range of workstreams including:
* Responsive and urgent repairs
* Non-urgent planned repairs
* Disrepair cases
* Damp and mould remediation
* Voids management
* Cyclical maintenance
* Capital investment works
You will work collaboratively with multiple contractors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services, ensuring that performance targets are achieved and our residents receive the highest standard of service.
About you:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Extensive knowledge of building construction and property maintenance
* Proven experience of managing repairs services within a local authority setting
* Strong track record of performance management and partnership working
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* The ability to balance operational demands with long-term investment planning
