Estimator

Estimator required in Essex

GVR Solutions are working with a specialist drylining and facades contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across London and Essex. With a strong pipeline of commercial and residential developments, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a key role in their continued growth. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing and securing a wide range of drylining and façade packages. You will work closely with the pre-construction and project teams, preparing accurate cost estimates, assessing risks, and ensuring competitive and profitable tender submissions.

Responsibilities of the Estimator:

Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for drylining and façade projects

*

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to fully understand project scope

*

Carrying out take-offs and quantification of materials and labour requirements

*

Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations

*

Identifying value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures

*

Supporting the handover of successful projects to the operations team

*

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues

As an Estimator, you must have/be:

*

Proven experience as an Estimator within the drylining and/or facades sector (essential)

*

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in drylining and façade systems

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

*

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail

*

Proficient in estimating software and MS Office (Excel in particular)

*

Strong communication and negotiation skills

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
