Job Title: Trainee Data Cabling Engineers – Walsall

About the Role:
We are offering an excellent opportunity for two motivated individuals to begin their careers as Data Cabling Engineers. Based in Walsall, you will join a supportive team working on a variety of structured cabling and IT infrastructure projects across the region.

This is a trainee role with full training provided, giving you the skills and qualifications needed to progress towards CNCI certification and eventually achieving ECS Gold Card Engineer status.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting senior engineers with the installation of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optic cabling.

*

Learning how to terminate and test copper and fibre networks.

*

Supporting with containment, cable routing, patch panels, and cabinet work.

*

Gaining hands-on experience with fault finding and troubleshooting.

*

Working safely and following industry best practices.

Requirements:

*

Strong interest in electrical, IT, or engineering-related work.

*

Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.

*

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

*

Willingness to undertake training and site-based work.

*

Driving licence desirable (but not essential).
