Site Agent – Highways

We’re recruiting for a top tier contractor to support the construction of Banwell Bypass – a circa £100m new highway project in Somerset. The project is now in the ground and will run for a minimum of 18 months, securing you work into 2027. The business are major player in civil engineering working across the UK on rail, highways and infrastructure such as HS2 and Sizewell.

At Banwell, the Site Agent will join an established team and bridge the gap between the Project Manager and the day-to-day delivery team, keeping work on programme, ensuring the highest standards of H&S and delivery excellence.

Following completion of the project the business has a steady local workload on frameworks, reactive projects, private clients and local authorities on around Somerset and the M5 corridor.

Site Agent responsibilities:

* Writing risk assessments and method statements

* Supporting the engineering team with long-term and short programmes

* Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN (NEC Contract)

* Overall responsibility of health and safety

* Managing design and quality of the project

* Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
