Site Manager

We’re recruiting for a top tier contractor to support a live highways projects in Exeter widening a busy road, with junction improvements and a large retaining wall – the project will run into mid 2026 with further work already secured in the area. The business main contractor working on some of the UK’s largest projects as well as supporting National Highways and local authorities in the South West.

The Site Agent will join an established team and bridge the gap between the Project Manager and the day-to-day delivery team, keeping work on programme, ensuring the highest standards of H&S and delivery excellence.

Following completion of the project the business has a steady local workload on frameworks, reactive projects, private clients and local authorities around Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton and the M5 corridor.

Site Agent responsibilities:

* Writing risk assessments and method statements

* Supporting the engineering team with long-term and short programmes

* Working with the commercial team to manage change and EWN (NEC Contract)

* Overall responsibility of health and safety

* Managing design and quality of the project

* Ensuring the project meets deadlines by managing the programme
