Freelance Site Agent – Regional Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Manchester

Rate: £400 – £425 per day (Outside IR35 or CIS)
Contract Length: 52 Weeks
Start Date: 8th September

We’re working with a well-established Regional Civil Engineering Contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Site Agent to lead a major civils package on a long-term scheme based in Manchester.

This is a 52-week contract offering long-term stability and a high-value day rate, with payment options available Outside IR35 or via CIS.

Scope of Works:

* Bulk Earthworks & Site Preparation

* RC Slabs & Associated Concrete Structures

* Drainage Installation

* Ducting for Services

* General Groundworks

Role Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day site operations and subcontractor management

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

* Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery

* Maintain quality control and accurate site records

* Monitor programme and progress, resolving any on-site issues proactively

Essential Requirements:

* Demonstrable experience in a Site Agent or Senior Engineer role within civil engineering

* Background delivering earthworks, drainage, ducting, and concrete works

* Excellent understanding of site paperwork, permits, and site logistics

* SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certifications

* Ability to manage multiple work fronts and coordinate across teams
