Freelance Site Manager

Kenton Black are recruiting for a freelance Site Manager to provide 6-week cover on a residential development in Aberdeenshire.

Our client, a respected housebuilding contractor with a strong reputation for delivering NHBC-compliant homes across the region, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee operations on an active housing site. This short-term opportunity offers the chance to lead a well-established team and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

– Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure smooth project progression
– Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet build targets
– Uphold NHBC standards and ensure compliance with building regulations
– Conduct scaffold inspections and maintain accurate site records
– Enforce health and safety protocols and lead toolbox talks
– Report progress to senior management and resolve on-site issues proactively

What You Bring:

– Proven track record in site management within NHBC housing developments
– Valid SMSTS, CSCS, Scaffold Inspection, and First Aid certifications
– Strong leadership and communication skills
– Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
