Senior Quantity Surveyor
We’re working with a respected, independent Construction Consultancy who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Infrastructure team. The business is well known for delivering high-quality Cost Management and Project Controls services on some of the UK’s most complex and high-value infrastructure programmes.
This opportunity is linked to a newly secured AMP8 framework in the North West, where you’ll play a key role in the delivery of a major water and wastewater improvement programme. It’s a long-term position that offers excellent scope for professional development and the chance to be part of significant regional investment.
The Role
In this position, you’ll take ownership of commercial and contractual management across a portfolio of water-related schemes. You’ll work closely with client representatives, contractors, and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered successfully, with a strong emphasis on cost control, value, and compliance under the NEC suite of contracts.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of water infrastructure projects from award through to final account
* Deliver a full range of post-contract Quantity Surveying services, including valuations, change management, and reporting
* Administer NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts (Options A, C, or E) effectively
* Oversee cost forecasting, risk management, and cash flow analysis
* Produce accurate financial reports to support client decision-making
* Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
* Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the Infrastructure Division
Requirements
* Background as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure (ideally water, utilities, or regulated sectors)
* Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts (Options A, C, or E)
* Proven track record in contract administration and post-contract commercial management
* Ability to balance a varied workload across multiple live projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Able to travel to Warrington (typically 3 days per week)
Desirable
* Previous involvement in AMP6/7/8 water sector frameworks
* NEC accreditation (or working towards it)
* Experience using contract management platforms such as CEMAR
* Based in, or able to regularly travel to, the North West
