Senior Architectural Technician

We are recruiting for a Senior Architectural Technician to work within our busy head office team at Wellingore Hall. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, supporting the delivery of innovative design solutions from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and experience in producing high-quality drawings and specifications, while collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver exceptional results.
The responsibilities within this role include:
* Producing detailed drawings for building regulations applications and tender packages
* Negotiating with contractors and other professionals
* Attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
* Co-ordinating the work of contractors
* Keeping within financial budgets and time deadlines
* Making site visits to check on progress and ensuring that the project is running within the agreed time frame and according to specification
* Solving problems that might occur during building
* Carrying out defect inspections
* Supporting and coordinating the work of junior members of the team
* Reviewing and checking for errors in others’ work
* Undertaking any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by your line manager.
About you:
* Proven experience in an architectural technician role, ideally at a senior level.
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and construction methods.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
* Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
* Ability to manage projects from design through to delivery.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
* High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Relevant qualifications in architectural technology or a related discipline.
