My client is a well-established consultancy delivering project and cost management services across residential, commercial, arts & leisure, and education sectors. With residential development as their primary focus, they continue to expand rapidly, securing new business month-on-month. Their reputation is built on delivering the highest standards of quality in construction and providing clients with exceptional service throughout the lifecycle of their projects.

They are now seeking a highly driven Clerk of Works to join their Bristol team, working across projects in the South and South West of England. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing office, established in 2021, and play a key role in strengthening their regional presence.

About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting the workmanship, quality, and safety of construction projects, reporting directly to surveyors, the aftercare team, and clients. Key responsibilities include:

Attending initial and ongoing project meetings to understand specifications and Employer’s Requirements.

Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure works meet drawings and specifications.

Completing and distributing inspection reports, progress updates, and quality control records.

*

Providing photographic evidence of progress.

*

Supporting snagging, de-snagging, and handover procedures.

*

Attending site meetings when requested and presenting verbal updates to clients and project teams.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

An eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

A professional, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.

Sound knowledge of building construction.

Strong report writing and presentation abilities.

Commercial awareness and financial acumen.

MICWCI membership (or working towards).

Valid CSCS card.

Knowledge or qualification in fire stopping (advantageous).

Full, clean driving licence (essential, as site travel is required).
