About the Company
My client is a growing consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-quality cost management and employer’s agent services across the residential sector. Operating on a wide range of schemes including Build to Rent (BTR), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), co-living, and later living developments, they are involved in both new build and refurbishment projects. Their smaller size ensures that every team member is given meaningful responsibility and exposure, while benefiting from the support and guidance of an experienced leadership team.
They are now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent to join their team and play a pivotal role in managing projects from inception to completion, while helping to develop junior colleagues and maintain strong client relationships.
About The Role
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative and ambitious team, with responsibilities including:

Producing and presenting cost plans to clients.
*
Advising on cost options during the design stage.
*
Preparing tender documents and advising on procurement routes.
*
Leading contract negotiations.
*
Delivering contract administration and employer’s agent services.
*
Negotiating and agreeing interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
*
Supporting business development activities and building client relationships.
About the Requirments
*
5+ years’ experience within the construction consultancy sector.
*
Solid understanding of the PQS role, both pre- and post-contract.
*
Experience with JCT Design & Build contracts (preferred).
*
Background in residential projects (advantageous).
*
Strong client-facing and communication skills.
*
Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
