About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join our team, delivering a high-quality surveying service across social housing properties. You will play a key role in ensuring effective management of disrepair cases, compliance repairs, and planned works, while providing professional expertise to residents, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out detailed property surveys, inspections, and reporting on disrepair cases.

Produce professional survey reports in line with Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act.

Define clear scopes of work, specifications, and oversee contractor performance.

Undertake pre- and post-inspections to ensure works are completed on time, to specification, and to a high standard.

Provide photographic evidence and expert witness input where required.

Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety, and statutory requirements.

Support cost management, budget monitoring, and value-for-money delivery.

Maintain accurate records and produce management reports.

About You

Degree or HNC in Building Surveying, Building Maintenance, or equivalent.

RICS qualified (MRICS or FRICS) – essential.

Proven experience in disrepair cases, housing defect diagnosis, and property inspections.

Background in social housing is desirable.

Strong knowledge of building legislation, regulations, and compliance.

Excellent communication and customer care skills.

Competent in Microsoft Office and able to produce high-quality reports.

Full driving licence and own vehicle with business insurance (mileage paid)
