The Person
We are looking for a Technical Co-ordinator to join the team to work out of the Northampton office to work on a number Northamptonshire developments. These schemes range in size from (Apply online only)units with construction methods ranging from timber frame to traditional build.
Duties will include
* Obtaining Technical Drawings and approvals to enable efficient site starts.
* Minimising risk through provision of timely and high-quality information.
* Brief, manage and drive the external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme, fee and scope.
* Ensure all statutory enquiries, sewer connections and other relevant legal agreements are submitted and pursued for timely completion.
* Oversee the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval.
* Ensure that working drawings are in accordance with the approved Planning Scheme and ensure discharge of planning and building control conditions. To monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the Commercial Department to ensure tight cost controls are kept and information produced in line with budget estimates.
* Respond to site queries and resolve Technical/Construction problems.
* Issuing drawings and information for construction purposes.
Previous experience
* Must have worked for a residential developer, main contractor or private practice with residential sector experience.
* Experience of working on residential developments of more than 30 units is preferred.
* Experience & understanding of technical schedules
* A good knowledge of the relevant building regs and planning requirements
