About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Planner / Scheduler / Administrator to join our team in Romford. This is a key role within the social housing sector, ensuring that residents receive excellent service through effective scheduling of repairs, maintenance, and compliance works.

You will be working in a fast-paced office environment, liaising with residents, operatives, contractors, and supervisors to ensure jobs are booked, updated, and completed in line with targets. This role is perfect for someone with strong planning or scheduling experience, ideally within housing, repairs, or construction.

Key Responsibilities

Scheduling & Planning

*

Arrange and manage appointments for residents with trades operatives in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Reschedule and update appointments when required, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.

*

Allocate jobs to operatives and subcontractors using the job management system.

*

Work closely with supervisors to ensure efficient workforce and resource planning.

*

Customer Service

*

Be the first point of contact for residents regarding repairs and maintenance.

*

Handle queries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and empathy.

*

Keep residents informed of progress and appointment changes, maintaining excellent communication at all times.

Administration & Systems

*

Accurately log and update job details in the company database and planning tools.

*

Ensure all records are kept up to date, including job completions, variations, and notes.

*

Produce reports when required to support operational performance.

*

Support the wider administration team with general office duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

*

Previous scheduling, planning, or coordination experience – ideally within social housing, repairs, maintenance, or construction.

Excellent customer service and communication skills – both verbal and written.

*

Strong IT and system skills (experience with housing/job management systems is desirable).

*

Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

A team player who can also work independently and use initiative.

Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
