We are a well-established and respected pipework contractor with a strong track record in the mechanical sector, delivering projects across London and the South East. Known for our expertise in delivering high-quality mechanical installations, we work on a range of schemes including commercial developments, residential projects, and large-scale refurbishments.
As the business continues to grow, we are seeking both an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor and a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic, collaborative environment where your input will directly contribute to the success of complex and technically challenging projects.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management and delivery of mechanical projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring value for money, accurate reporting, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.

Lead on the procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages, negotiating best value.
*
Manage valuations, variations, interim payments, and final accounts.
*
Provide regular and accurate financial reports to senior management.
*
Ensure compliance with company and contractual standards on all commercial activities.
*
Work closely with project teams to support the successful delivery of mechanical services.
*
Conduct site visits and liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication.
*
Drive cost efficiency and risk management across projects.
Requirements
*
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Intermediate) OR significant experience as a QS/Senior QS within the M&E/Mechanical contracting sector.
*
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC).
*
Proven ability in cost control, commercial reporting, and procurement.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
*
Proficiency with relevant contract and costing software.
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend site visits across London and the South East.
